The post after the VERY hot curry....

Last night the Curry Thunder crew had a meeting, well a few beers and a curry (which was bloody hot I might add), to discuss what was what in the world of the Thunder. So I though it would be a good time to update the blog…

CT now has a new set of rubber, a whole load of new boost (thanks to a reset of the ecu) and is booked in for it’s MOT today(fingers crossed everyone).

Evans Halshaw of Bedford where Chris works have been especially generous to us, giving the tyre’s and other parts, a full tank of fuel and some jerry cans full, plus allowing Chris to work on Thunder at the garage in his spare time.

The MOT also comes courtesy of them at their test centre so all in all a good bunch of chaps can be found at that fine establishment and I recommend if you want a new or used car you should pay them a visit.

One last thing they have supplied us is all the bits and bobs that should keep the European “fuzz” off our backs…Triangles, hi vis jackets, first aid kits and bulb kits…splendid, they’ll only be able to fine us for being English now!

The Curry Thunder Tat Plunder Raffle was launched on Friday, so far we’ve sold nearly 100 tickets which is amezzin…the draw will be held on the 3rd of August so still time to sell plenty more. Of all the stuff we’re trying to offload the only thing people are asking about is the bag of Veg from Russ’ Dad’s garden!

Pete Bousfield at Kier has sorted us out with a GPS tracker, which once we have set it up you’ll be able to track our progress across Europe. I’ll post a link to the portal once we have it all sorted.

Managed to blag a CD of Indian music of the waiter last night, so we’ll be blaring that out as we set off in Calais. Possibly one of the most humorous things ever in a Curry house is contained on that CD…an Indian version of Blue “One Love”…laugh I nearly split my pint of Cobra…

So were nearly there, just need tax, insurance, ferry crossing, hotels, and a pint of milk to calm my tongue down (those chilli’s in my curry were VERY hot) and were away!

I’ll update again when some of the above are sorted :)

Mark.
