HELLO!
It's been a while, but we've been busy...and here's on what.
We launched the Curry Thunder Tat Plunder Raffle at Kier on the 17th of July...and after two weeks of selling tickets we managed to pull together a staggering £146. Prizes included mugs, coasters and other office tat, but there were some quality bits and bobs as well such as a hands free kit donated by Orange and a bag of fresh veg, donated by Russ's Dad.
All in all that brings our chrity collection total to £337 so not far off our £500 target.
Lots of other activities have been going on, such as booking plane tickets, ferry crossings, hotel rooms etc and as for the car...Well it has a nice shiney new MOT, Insurance and later on today 6 months tax. Apparently it runs like a dream, a fact I'm hoping to confirm at some point this weekend :) so were all systems go!
Chris has pulled a blinder by getting some jobs done on it, such as the engine mounts and new tyres etc, all gratis from his Garage, Evans Halshaw who have been very generous indeed!
I hope to have a few more updates next week once I have spent some time behind the wheel...see you then!

The post after the VERY hot curry....
Last night the Curry Thunder crew had a meeting, well a few beers and a curry (which was bloody hot I might add), to discuss what was what in the world of the Thunder. So I though it would be a good time to update the blog…
CT now has a new set of rubber, a whole load of new boost (thanks to a reset of the ecu) and is booked in for it’s MOT today(fingers crossed everyone).
Evans Halshaw of Bedford where Chris works have been especially generous to us, giving the tyre’s and other parts, a full tank of fuel and some jerry cans full, plus allowing Chris to work on Thunder at the garage in his spare time.
The MOT also comes courtesy of them at their test centre so all in all a good bunch of chaps can be found at that fine establishment and I recommend if you want a new or used car you should pay them a visit.
One last thing they have supplied us is all the bits and bobs that should keep the European “fuzz” off our backs…Triangles, hi vis jackets, first aid kits and bulb kits…splendid, they’ll only be able to fine us for being English now!
The Curry Thunder Tat Plunder Raffle was launched on Friday, so far we’ve sold nearly 100 tickets which is amezzin…the draw will be held on the 3rd of August so still time to sell plenty more. Of all the stuff we’re trying to offload the only thing people are asking about is the bag of Veg from Russ’ Dad’s garden!
Pete Bousfield at Kier has sorted us out with a GPS tracker, which once we have set it up you’ll be able to track our progress across Europe. I’ll post a link to the portal once we have it all sorted.
Managed to blag a CD of Indian music of the waiter last night, so we’ll be blaring that out as we set off in Calais. Possibly one of the most humorous things ever in a Curry house is contained on that CD…an Indian version of Blue “One Love”…laugh I nearly split my pint of Cobra…
So were nearly there, just need tax, insurance, ferry crossing, hotels, and a pint of milk to calm my tongue down (those chilli’s in my curry were VERY hot) and were away!
I’ll update again when some of the above are sorted :)
Mark.

The post after the fun day!!!
Right...
So whats been happening then.
So we got a new drive shaft for the CT, sadly, the wrong one...This means were a bit behind on geting CT mechanically right...
However, we did take it on a test spin today, to get it over to the Kier Family Fun Day at Tempsford Hall.
All went well apart from a few lights coming on, especially when Russ was booting it round the Black Cat roundabout!
We filled the car with balloons and asked people to guess how many were in there for a quid donation. The prize...a 50 quid voucher for Marks & Spencer donated by Cable & Wireless no less...less...err... I guess will put there logo on the car somewhere then!
We made £51 quid, not a bad return, although a bit dissapointed we didnt get more considering how many people were there. Still it adds to the total which is about £111.
Got quite a few menus now, scanned them all in and created a collage on Picasa to stick to the car today. It looks cool, and we cant wait till we get the actual graphics stuck on once we have a few more menus...hint hint.
Best of all Mark B got the door logos done and we got them stuck on today. They look absolutely spot on, and I'll get some pics up later today...if I remember...
Catch you all later, and if you havn't sponsored us yet what the hell are you waiting for,
Cheers!

Right.....time to get this blog underway!
First off you'll notice we have a new logo, thats an official Curry Thunder Registerd Trademark Copywrite and all that original! And I personnally think its cracking!
So where the hell have we got too???
Chris, our in house spanner man and co pilot has been under the hood and although not brilliant news, not bad either. We always knew we'd need a couple of tyres, and other things we need are a new stereo and an ariel, but more impotantly we now need a drive shaft (!)
The Cat also seems to be making some relatively alarming noises and will need some attention.
The MOT is now out so we need to get these bits done and then get her into a garage to get a ticket. Then we just need some tax and insurance and the fun can begin.
Mark B may have pulled a blinder tonight after a chat with a local Volvo garage who think they have a drive shaft for the Thunder kicking about that we can have for gratis. If that works out we should be roadworthy in no time.
Our search for Curry House menus continues, we have had a number of great contributions from Chris Hone and Kim Morrison, thanks guys, for those of you who go out for a madras this weekend remember to collect some menus for us!
That's about all for now, if you havn't had a chance to sponser us yet then theres still time, please click on the following link;
